Want to try TRX training?

TRX is a suspension-based training program which can be customized to each person’s individual fitness level.

Relying on your own body weight, the exercises aim to promote strength, balance, flexibility and core stability, according to the creator’s website.

In September, TRX will be a regular part of Madonna ProActive’s group fitness schedule.  This means that members will be able to take the TRX courses offered at no additional charge. 

In order to take part in these free TRX classes, members will be required to take TRX Basics – an introductory 1-hour class.  This class will teach basic TRX movements and orient members to the safest practices while using TRX.   TRX Basics will start on Aug. 19 at 8 a.m. and will be offered every Saturday morning thereafter.  The cost of TRX Basics is $35. 

Individuals who take this course (or previously completed a TRX program) will also be able to check out TRX equipment to do their own workouts in Studio 2.
